Kerala Fish Curry Recipe

Ingredients:

 

  1. Heat oil in a clay pot or pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add fenugreek seeds and curry leaves.

  2. Sauté onions until golden, then add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies.

  3. Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Mix in turmeric, red chili, and coriander powder.

  4. Pour tamarind extract, add salt, and bring to a boil.

  5. Add fish pieces and let them cook for 7–10 minutes.

  6. Add coconut milk (if using), simmer for 2 minutes, and turn off the heat.

  7. Stir in coconut milk, simmer for 2 minutes, and turn off the heat.

  8. Garnish with fresh curry leaves and serve hot.
